Greece FAQs

When is the best time to visit Greece?

Greece is a very popular destination in the summertime, and for good reason!

Visiting between May and July, you’ll find sunny beach weather and many selections for flights, hotels, tours, and shopping. It’s the best time to enjoy the country!

However, we discourage you visiting in August. The summer heat turns oppressive and the streets are especially crowded.

September is a fabulous time to visit if you’d still like to catch the nice weather and miss the crowds!

If you’re looking for a more affordable time to visit, we recommend either April or October. Many hotels are discounted in the off season and the weather is still nice enough to enjoy Greece.

What Currency does Greece use? Do they accept credit cards?

Greece is part of the European Union and uses the Euro.

Most places in Greece accept Visa and Mastercard. Few places accept Amex.

What should I pack for my trip to Greece?

When packing for your trip to Greece, consider the season and expected weather conditions.

In general, we recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

It’s also a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings. Don’t forget your swimsuit for enjoying the beautiful beaches, and a power adapter for charging your electronic devices.
